OverviewJoin to apply for the Tax Senior Manager - Private Company role at RSM Canada.RSM’s Private Company tax practice takes a holistic approach to advising closely held businesses and their owners, delivering strategic tax planning, business advisory and compliance through cross-functional collaboration and digitally-enabled services.RSM’s Private Client Services practice focuses on helping business owners and high net worth families strengthen their wealth and minimize tax.We serve private businesses of all sizes, operating nationally and internationally, and high net worth families with complex financial and tax needs.ResponsibilitiesAdvise business owner clients on a full spectrum of business and tax opportunities, including succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax complianceManage and oversee the engagement team focused on partnership, corporate, and trust entities, including planning and execution of client tax engagementsAnticipate client needs and collaborate with RSM colleagues in specialty tax areas and cross line of business to build client relationships and support growthProvide leadership, training and career mentorship to staff and supervisor level team membersDrive and collaborate with senior leadership on growth opportunities with existing clients and prospectsDevelop and sustain strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors through outstanding client serviceRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related fieldCPA license or equivalentMinimum of 7 years of public accounting experience with emphasis on taxation and/or private client taxation; recent years should include managing client engagementsProficient in entity (partnerships, corporations, trusts) and estate and individual taxationStrong communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to work in a collaborative team and handle multiple tasksPreferred QualificationsCPA in-depth coursework and/or Master’s in TaxationExperience with private client or business taxation with a desire to grow in the private client arenaCompensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive benefits and compensation package. Salary range: $107,000 - $182,000.
