OverviewCoordinator, Construction Services – Defence Construction CanadaRole: Coordinator, Construction Services. Employment status: Continuing. Location: Canada. Security level: Secret. Language: English Essential. Closing date: 14/11/2025. Salary range: $91,826 – $119,370. Internal (DCC Employees) and External (General Public) are eligible to apply.ResponsibilitiesManage and administer contracts to ensure work complies with contractual requirements and quality specifications.Coordinate and resolve day-to-day contractual problems.Monitor and control schedules.Liaise with Client-Partner representatives regarding project problems and risks, negotiate and issue change orders.Maintain site activity records (e.g., photos, activity reports).Collaborate with other service lines and site teams as required.Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, with industry, Client-Partners and stakeholders.Ensure quality standards are met in line with corporate and Client-Partner expectations.Manage contract risk.May perform human resources functions (e.g., coaching, supervising, mentoring, planning and allocating resources, managing performance).Other dutiesManage contract financials.Coordinate consultant construction reviews and third-party quality assurance testing.Ensure health and safety, industrial security and environmental compliance.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications and SkillsGeneral and specific knowledge: construction best practices, products and materials, project, contract and risk management, health and safety management.Formal education and experience: minimum college diploma in engineering, applied science or related field with six years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent; preferred university degree in engineering or architecture.Abilities: use applicable computer software, apply project, contract and risk management techniques to construction and consultant contracts, interpret drawings and specifications, demonstrate leadership and HR management skills.Development and leadership: may be accountable for direct reports; provide functional direction and advice to employees and Client-Partners.Working conditions: typical construction site environment with safety equipment; some office work with occasional travel.Benefits and PerksOne of the job market’s best benefits packages valued at 25–30% of salary.Health and wellness: sick leave, health and dental premiums, wellness allowance, mental health services, telehealth, and health spending account.Life and family benefits: life and disability insurance, employee assistance program, parental leave top-up, flexible work options.Leave and retirement: pension, vacation and other paid leave; travel benefits.Other notes: To begin employment with Defence Construction Canada, candidates must be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident and obtain the required security clearance.
