We have an immediate opening for a Geotechnical Technician to join our Materials Testing group in our London, ON/Windsor, ON office. What a day at EXP has in store for you Carrying out aggregate, soil tests in the field and within our Aggregate Laboratories; Soil Identification and Examination of Subgrade Soils; Insitu Density and Compaction Testing; Concrete, Mortar and Grout Sampling and Testing; Asphalt Sampling and Testing; Ensuring field and laboratory equipment is maintained in good condition; Assisting management team in field and laboratory certification, and record keeping; Interacting with Materials and Geotechnical Engineers routinely; Operating computerized and digital testing equipment; Field and Laboratory result report writing. What your experience looks like Minimum 3 years experience in field and aggregate testing laboratory; College diploma an asset; Field experience in concrete, earthworks and asphalt; CCIL/CSA certified for field concrete testing (required), laboratory certification an asset; Strong communication skills and leadership capabilities; Ability to work overtime in peak periods; Excellent organizational skills and time management a must; Proficiency with the Windows operating system, Microsoft Excel; Able to organize, prioritize, set and adjust priorities and schedules independently. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
