We are looking for passionate individuals to help us deliver innovative, unique solutions to our Customers.Key Job ElementsAbility to effectively communicate complex tax matters to allow non-tax business leaders to understand the risks, opportunities and strategies involved in tax mattersBuilding internal and external relationshipsClosely work with Combat and CHQ tax team to provide innovative tax planning strategies in compliance with laws and regulationsManage corporate tax compliance in all jurisdictions, including income taxes and commodity taxesOversee the computation of the annual Scientific Research and Experimental Development tax credit claimManage the quarterly and annual income tax provision processResponsible for tax cash forecastingOversee all international tax matters including transfer pricingResearch and documentation of technical issues that arise on an on-going basis.Keep current on all tax legislation and administrative changes and effectively communicate any impact to the organizationTrain staff, review and evaluate their workRequired QualificationsCompletion of In-Depth Tax Course or Masters of TaxFive+ years’ experience in Canadian taxAble to develop strong working relationships with all levels of individuals and work effectively in a team environmentDetail oriented & ability to multi-taskStrong accounting and analytical skillsStrong computer skills: proficiency in Tax software, Excel, Word, PowerpointExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsSupervisory experience (2 years plus)Working Conditions1) Nature of Supervision: Minimal (Self-directed work)2) Physical Environment: OfficePhysical Demands DescriptionUsual mobility demands required are standing, walking, sitting, and stair climbing to access upper offices.ComputerPhoneMedical SurveillanceMay include: Anthropometrical Size Restrictions depending on taskPersonal Protective EquipmentApplicable when interacting with shop floor (safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection. extraction coveralls)General Dynamics Land Systems–Canada is committed to providing all persons with equal opportunity and access to all aspects of the employment process.
