Summary The Logistics & Warehouse Supervisor will report to the Supply Chain Superintendent. Your primary responsibility will be to provide supervisory leadership to the site-based Warehousing & Logistics Team and ensure the safe and efficient provision of materials and associated services for all operations, maintenance, and support functions. About Us The Keno Hill mine, located within the Keno Hill Silver District in Canada’s Yukon Territory, is one of the highest-grade silver districts in the world. It is situated 350 kilometres north of Whitehorse and lies within the traditional territory of the First Nation of Na‑Cho Nyak Dun. The site encompasses 242 square kilometres (km²) with numerous mineral deposits and more than 35 historical past‑producing mine sites. Keno Hill is expected to produce 2.7‑3.1 million ounces of silver in 2025 as the mine ramps up production. The mine is owned and operated by Hecla Mining Company, headquartered in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Established in 1891, Hecla has a rich heritage as a distinguished and respected precious metals producer and is a winner of numerous safety and environmental awards. Keno Hill is seeking new team members committed to professional growth and success. Here’s What You Can Expect In This Role Supervise the day-to-day material management activities including warehousing, logistics and inventory control for the operation. Work proactively with the procurement team and inventory controller to manage inventory, ensuring consistent supply and efficient use of storage space. Work with logistics providers to schedule the arrival of LTL and bulk materials to meet operational needs, ensuring all drivers understand and follow site procedures. Coordinate truck dispatch to designated unloading areas and ensure all manifests, bills of lading, and related documents are collected, reviewed, and properly filed. Work with procurement and other departments to ensure all material SDS are obtained, reviewed, and approved by the Safety and Environment teams before the material arrives on site. Lead and contribute to the development and maintenance of relevant Departmental Operating Procedures. Provide coaching and supervision of site-based Supply Chain personnel. Ensure training compliance for all Team members including identifying new training opportunities or requirements. Coordinate requirements with Departmental customers reviewing consumption, demand forecasts, storage & logistics requirements for materials and services. Coach and mentor other employees regarding relevant Supply Chain systems, policies and procedures. Maintain positive and professional relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders. Engage in Supply Chain continuous improvement. Demonstrate active and visible Safety Leadership. Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Other duties may be assigned. You will help promote a strong environmental culture, promoting and teaching environmentally friendly values and work practices. Qualifications High school/GED or higher. Relevant Professional Supply Chain certification (CPIM, P.Log, CSCP, SCMP) preferred. Minimum 5 years of related supervisory experience in warehousing, logistics and/or inventory management. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the Transportation, Logistics or Freight Forwarding sector. Experience working at a remote mine site operation and in a cross‑cultural work environment preferred. Strong knowledge of materials management, logistics, transportation and governmental regulation requirements and Best‑Practices. Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems (IFS preferred) as well as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience implementing new systems preferred. Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced Team environment handling multiple priorities and deadlines. Self‑motivated with strong customer service and conflict resolution skills. Disclosing all information regarding incidents and cooperating in incident investigations. Assisting in the resolution of health and safety matters in a positive and timely manner. Using and maintaining PPE. Providing suggestions for improving work processes. Assisting Management by supporting change to achieve desired targets. Ensuring that plant and equipment operate within their safe working limits. Ensuring that correct equipment is used for the job. Participating in risk assessment methodology. Participating in safety initiatives. Receiving training and instruction as required. Maintaining good housekeeping standards. Work Environment Employees will be regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including snow and ice, as well as extreme temperatures ranging from cold to heat. The work environment may involve contact with potentially hazardous wildlife, moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the use of explosives. There is also a risk of electrical shock and exposure to vibration. Noise levels can occasionally be loud, depending on the task or location on site. Work Location & Schedule This is a fly‑in fly‑out position based at a remote mining camp, operating on a rotational schedule of 14 days on and 14 days off. Camp accommodations and meals are provided while on site. All travel to and from the mine site is arranged through a designated travel agency and coordinated from approved flight hubs. To ensure efficient travel logistics, we are primarily seeking candidates who reside in the Yukon, British Columbia, and Alberta, particularly near major transportation centers within these regions.
