We focus on excellence and are committed to supporting and developing our teamsPosition SummaryThe Senior Director, Strategy and Continuous Improvement will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence, growth, and innovation across Skyservice’s Business Aviation division.
This role is responsible for shaping and executing long-term business strategies, implementing continuous improvement frameworks, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals to deliver exceptional client experiences and operational performance. Reporting StructureThis position reports directly to the President, Business Aviation. Summary of ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership (in partnership with President, Business Aviation):Collaborate closely with the President, Business Aviation to develop and execute business strategies that support Skyservice’s vision and growth objectives. Work jointly to identify market opportunities, competitive positioning, and emerging trends, ensuring alignment with divisional and corporate priorities.
Continuous Improvement:Design and implement process improvement methodologies and/or programs to enhance efficiency and reduce waste across the business unit. Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to monitor progress and ensure accountability across all BA teams. Operational Excellence:Drive cross-functional initiatives to optimize processes in flight operations, client services, and other areas specific to Business Aviation. Lead change management efforts to embed a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across Business Aviation.
Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure strategic alignment, partnership, and operational success. Hold structured meetings with key shared services stakeholders (Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Marketing) to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives. Attend Business Aviation-specific meetings alongside the President, Business Aviation where agreed, providing strategic input and supporting decision-making. Communicate progress on performance goals and outcomes to senior leadership and key stakeholders on a regular basis, with data driven insights (i.e., BA micro meetings).
Innovation & Growth:Support business development initiatives through strategic analysis and recommendations to the President, Business Aviation and CEO. Business Systems Improvement:Lead initiatives to improve business systems and processes, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Partner with IT and operational teams to ensure systems support strategic objectives and continuous improvement goals. Cost Savings & Resource Optimization:Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives across the Business Aviation division, including process efficiencies, vendor optimization, and technology enhancements.
Analyze organizational structure in partnership with Human Resources and propose personnel and staffing adjustments to align resources with strategic priorities and operational needs. Ensure recommendations are supported by data and aligned with Skyservice’s commitment to operational excellence and client service.
Qualifications
and Skills Required:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or continuous improvement leadership roles, ideally within aviation or related industries. Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement methodologies and delivering measurable results. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
