Build Elastic Cloud offerings through backend engineering, technical design, and sophisticated debugging with Scala, Java, or Go. Work within a globally distributed team of engineers. This Senior Software Engineer role supports Elastic’s Control Plane - Hosted team and key functional areas of its Cloud offerings. You will analyze system strengths and limitations while crafting solutions for customers. Your technical direction will influence your team and other Elastic product teams. Key Responsibilities:

Craft technical designs for Elastic Cloud offerings Analyze system strengths, limitations, and failure scenarios Lead technical plans and direction across teams Establish development practices supporting quality and scale Advise Support and Elasticsearch engineers on technical problems Requirements:

Five or more years as a software engineer Track record delivering high-quality code Experience providing pragmatic technical leadership Scala, Java, or Go backend language knowledge Relevant SaaS technology depth and automation passion Apply backend language knowledge and technical leadership to Elastic’s cloud architecture, quality, automation, and customer experience.
