Join to apply for the Senior Director of Finance role at Pontosense. Help shape how privacy‑first technology protects people in the moments that matter most. Pontosense transforms everyday spaces into intelligent environments that can recognize risk and respond proactively, all without intrusion. Our technology helps older adults stay independent longer and gives families and care providers confidence that the people they love are safe. Now we’re scaling fast. To do that responsibly, we need financial clarity that keeps us aligned, disciplined, and ready for what comes next. As the Senior Director of Finance, you’ll build the models, insights, and systems that power our growth. You’ll help us make better decisions, use our resources wisely, and move quickly without losing control. This role sets the financial foundation for everything we build: turning data into direction; translating complexity into clear choices; ensuring capital fuels the outcomes that matter. What You’ll Do Lead financial planning and modeling, including the company’s operating model, annual planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision‑making. Develop clear, accurate financial reporting, including monthly financial packages, performance dashboards, and insights on revenue, margins, and overall company health. Oversee accounting operations and financial governance, ensuring timely month‑end close, strong internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness. Manage company‑wide budgeting, partnering with department leaders to align resources with priorities, monitor budget vs. actuals, and identify opportunities or risks. Strengthen and scale financial processes and systems, improving workflows related to procurement, spend management, approvals, policies, and documentation. Monitor financial risks and support strong governance practices, helping the organization make informed, responsible decisions. Support investor relations, including preparing financial materials, maintaining organized information for external stakeholders, and assisting with due diligence processes when required. Serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership, offering clear guidance, financial insight, and data‑backed recommendations on major initiatives, investments, and operational decisions. Who You’ll Work With You’ll report directly to our CEO, Alex Qi, and work closely with department leaders across the organization. This role is deeply collaborative; you’ll be embedded in decisions that shape how we build, scale, and deliver our technology. What You’ll Bring Progressive experience in finance, ideally within high‑growth tech, hardware/IoT, or advanced manufacturing environments. Strong expertise in financial modeling, including 3‑statement models, forecasting, scenario analysis, and long‑range planning. Proven experience leading budgeting, reporting, and performance management across multiple departments. Deep understanding of unit economics, pricing strategy, margins, and operational analytics. Strong grasp of cash flow management and liquidity planning, with the ability to guide clear financial decision‑making. Experience overseeing accounting operations, financial controls, audit readiness, and compliance. Awareness of financial risk and governance, with the ability to support sound frameworks across the business. Ability to build and improve financial systems, processes, and SOPs in a scaling organization. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights for technical and non‑technical stakeholders. A collaborative, business‑partner mindset. Comfortable working closely with leaders across the organization. High degree of ownership, integrity, and reliability; able to operate with autonomy and make sound recommendations in ambiguous environments. Experience working with investors, supporting due diligence, or preparing investor materials is a strong asset. CPA or equivalent training is an asset but not required. We’re Not a Good Fit If Prefer environments with established processes rather than helping build them. Need highly predictable priorities or feel uncomfortable navigating ambiguity and change. Shy away from ownership. We move quickly and expect leaders to take initiative while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and judgment. Why Join Pontosense?
