Utilizing a team approach, the Business Services Member Consultant identifies sales opportunities and ensures these opportunities are fulfilled by utilizing the appropriate resources and teams.Sales & Service ResponsibilitiesResponsible for achieving sales targets and goals as set out by the Senior Manager, Business Services, or designeeOpen all Business Memberships for the Branch and Department NetworksWork with Risk Department to ensure we are compliant with all new regulationsUncover, identify, and process sales opportunities primarily with Business Members, which may include non FSRA reporting small business lending and deposit productsActively solicit, follow up and provide advice on products and services to Business Members to increase share of wallet and ensure we are their primary financial institution of choice. Including processing third party referrals for ADP, MDB-Online banking, Global Payments and any other acquired service providersComplete Collabria VISA applications for Business MembersAnswer all incoming calls for Business Services requestsComplete all requests from Business Members and Internal Staff in regards to Businesses (ie. cheque orders, address changes, opening new accounts, etc.)Provide the right financial advice based on a thorough understanding of assigned Business Member's financial goals and develop a financial plan that meets their needsProvide relevant and qualified referrals based on business plan and assigned goals to strategic business partners including Wealth Management, Retail & Commercial departmentsComplete credit sales to closure, while adhering to terms and conditions of relevant policies and proceduresMaintain an up-to-date tracking record of sales, sales results, opportunities, retention, consolidation and acquisitionApply FirstOntario Credit Union's sales and service standards with all Business MembersApply sound service and business judgment in all activities and interactions, and make decisions within prescribed lending limitsKeep contact diary system up to date with relevant follow up action for Business MembersMaintain ongoing activity plan to assist prioritizing sales, service, and operational workBe a resource to branch network to support Business MembersActively participate in creating and executing strategic initiatives in conjunction with the Manager, or designeeAssist with managing various portfolio reporting required for the Business Banking Group, including but not limited to: Loan delinquency, loan maturity, annual reviewsAssist in preparing Funding Requests for new loans and complete the funding and loan keying process for BBGPerform actionable requirements associated with control and exception reports (delinquencies, maturing products etc.)Consider health & safety as a primary concern to ensure the overall well-being of the branch and membersPerform other duties as we may need you to doOperations ResponsibilitiesAdhere to policies and procedures at all times, as amended from time to timeComplete work accurately, promptly and fully from beginning to endWork within guidelines outlined in your "Letter of Authority"Perform audits and proofing, as requiredRequired Skills and QualificationsCompletion of Grade 12 or equivalent and some post‑secondary education in Commerce, Business Administration or Economics3 – 5 years Business Services / Credit Union / other Financial Institution experienceMust have the demonstrated efficiency, technical knowledge, and ability to perform the job (ie. MC Training)Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Temenos Banking System and Criterion or equivalent banking and lending platformsMust have superior interpersonal and communication skillsInherently demonstrate a high level of integrity and trustworthinessMust be able to work well with minimum supervisionAbility to effectively problem solve to find creative and beneficial solutionsBe flexible and adaptable to changing prioritiesAbility to share knowledge and best practicesMust be capable of working as a team player, willing to assist other staff of any locationMust have a positive attitude and willing to go above and beyondMaintain current knowledge of the Financial Service Industry and trendsBe able to take action in difficult and challenging situations and deal with uncertaintyDo the right things for the right reasonsAbility to identify and mitigate enterprise risk factors and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and FirstOntario policies and proceduresSalary: $26.69 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
