MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our client: a well-established contractor based in Delta, British Columbia with 30+ years of experience in site preparation, ground improvement, and foundation systems. Their portfolio includes 500+ completed projects across North America serving residential, commercial, industrial, and civil markets throughout Western Canada.This role offers direct exposure to high-impact civil and earthworks projects with clear progression into Project Management. You’ll work with strong field leadership, top developers, and client stakeholders in an environment that rewards ownership, autonomy, and long-term career growth. If you’re ready to step into a path toward leading full project delivery, apply todayResponsibilitiesSupport project setup including scope review, baseline schedules, and mobilization planningMaintain documentation: plans, permits, submittals, quality and construction logsCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews for timely executionAttend site meetings and document decisions, actions, and progressTrack material deliveries, heavy equipment logistics, and internal crew planningMaintain project logs, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and correspondenceTrack budget versus actuals on assigned cost codesSupport forecasting and cost reviews with the Project ManagerSupport compliance documentation for safety plans, quality protocols, and regulationsEnsure safety and quality items are logged, resolved, and closed in systemsPrepare meeting minutes, action lists, and project status updatesMaintain professional communication with engineers, owners, and GCs on routine coordination itemsRequirements1–3 years in construction coordination or project support (heavy civil or site works preferred)Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or relatedAbility to read and interpret drawings with an engineering or technical education advantageFamiliarity with cost and schedule tracking tools such as Excel, shared drives, and project softwareExposure to earthworks, compaction, piling, and civil infrastructure is an assetStrong communication and client interaction skillsComfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of deliverablesCSTS and First Aid preferred or willingness to obtainValid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to travel to project sitesFor more current job opportunities, Follow MatchBox at linkedin.com/company/matchbox-recruitment/About MatchBoxHeadquartered in downtown Vancouver and serving clients nationally, MatchBox is one of the leading recruitment and solutions firms that specializes in the fields of IT & Technology, Engineering & Technical, Real Estate & Construction, and Accounting & Finance.
