The position also requires stocking produce onto the display cases in the sales area, following the FIFO concept, providing good customer service to our customers by fulfilling their requests, and maintaining inventory and workplace cleanliness. T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 36 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years. Maintain inventory and product freshness by following FIFO concept; ensure the full display of various produce products Perform regular quality check, follow procedures to process sub‑standard products and manage shrinkage Prepare various produce for sales activities, including but not limited to sorting, cutting, washing, weighing, packing and labeling various produce products and displaying them in the display cases Greet customers with good customer service, smiles, and friendly enthusiasm Assist customers in produce product selection and provide recommendations as required Maintain workplace cleanliness by keeping relevant work tools clean and well‑kept Keep display cases and walk‑in coolers clean and tidy Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings and statutory holidays Be prepared to stand for long periods, handle products hands‑on, and lift products of up to 40 pounds on a regular basis; able to use work‑related tools in a safe manner Be prepared to work in low‑temperature (0‑4 ℃) environments regularly Not allergic to handling produce products Knowledge of basic work safety Relevant experience in handling produce products is preferred This is an active job posting for a currently vacant position.
