Location: SE Health Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada Position: Health Care Aide (Elizz) Part‑time and casual Health Care Aides are sought to provide one‑on‑one care to clients in their homes within the Maple Ridge area. Subsidised OPSWA memberships, paid travel time and mileage, mobile device and three uniforms provided. Responsibilities Follow care plans and maintain accurate client records. Promote physical and emotional independence while maintaining effective relationships with clients. Understand and apply accountability and expectations for transferable skills/delegated tasks. Communicate changes in client condition to the supervisor and cooperate with other team members. Identify, promote and seek to improve client safety; consult the nurse supervisor on medical and ethical dilemmas. Qualifications Availability on weekdays and/or evenings, including every other weekend. Community Health Worker (CHW) or Health Care Aide (HCA) certification with BC Care Aide Registry. Relevant healthcare experience. Current First Aid (Standard) / CPR Certificate (Level C). Valid driver’s licence and vehicle. Current immunisation record, including a TB test completed within the past 12 months. Current vulnerable‑sector check screening. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong organisational skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills for communicating with clients and providing companionship. Effective problem‑solving and conflict‑management skills. Basic computer/smartphone skills (asset). Physical stamina to lift up to approximately 55 lb., walk, climb stairs, stand, bend, reach and move frequently.
