Job SummaryAmazon is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented ESG Compliance & Sustainability Reporting Analyst to support the companys commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and strong governance practices. This role plays a critical part in ensuring Amazon meets global ESG regulations, reporting standards, and internal sustainability goals.The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with sustainability, finance, legal, operations, and data teams to collect, analyze, and report ESG metrics while ensuring compliance with international frameworks and regulatory requirements. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about sustainability, data-driven decision-making, and corporate responsibility in a fast-paced, global organization.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect, validate, and analyze ESG-related data across environmental, social, and governance pillars.Prepare accurate and timely sustainability reports aligned with global standards such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, and emerging regulatory frameworks.Monitor ESG regulations and compliance requirements across multiple geographies and assess their impact on Amazons operations.Support internal and external audits related to ESG disclosures and sustainability reporting.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve ESG data quality, reporting processes, and governance controls.Develop dashboards, scorecards, and presentations to communicate ESG performance to leadership and external stakeholders.Identify risks and opportunities related to sustainability performance and regulatory compliance.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in ESG reporting.Required Skills and QualificationsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex ESG and sustainability data.Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting platforms.Solid understanding of ESG frameworks, sustainability metrics, and non-financial reporting requirements.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and stakeholder presentations.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across global, cross-functional teams.ExperienceBachelors degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in ESG reporting, sustainability analysis, compliance, risk management, or related roles.Experience working with large datasets and reporting for global organizations is highly preferred.Prior exposure to regulatory reporting, audits, or assurance processes is an advantage.Working HoursFull-time position, typically 40 hours per week.Flexible working hours with potential overlap required to support global teams across different time zones.Hybrid or remote work options may be available depending on location and business needs.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesIn-depth knowledge of ESG principles, sustainability reporting standards, and evolving regulatory landscapes.Ability to translate complex sustainability data into clear, actionable insights.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying compliance gaps and improvements.Capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to ethical business practices and continuous learning in sustainability and compliance.BenefitsCompetitive salary and performance-based incentives.Comprehensive health, life, and wellness benefits.Retirement savings plans and long-term financial benefits.Paid time off, holidays, and parental leave.Learning and development programs, including access to sustainability and leadership training.Opportunities for career growth within a global organization.Why Join AmazonAt Amazon, sustainability is integral to how we innovate and operate at scale.
