Project Coordinator

Tomlinson Infrastructure is currently seeking a Project Coordinator. This position reports to the Project Manager, while also remaining accountable to the Construction Manager. The Project Coordinator assists in all aspects of the project : scheduling, submissions, customer relations, contract management, change management, project controls, quality control and safety. The incumbent supports Superintendents and Foremen with coordination of field activities (e.g., ensure as-built information is captured and submitted).Location : Ottawa, ONRESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and submit required project plans and submissionsProduce traffic management plans, tracking completed work and extrasAssistwith preparation of contract schedules and tracking of daily productionsReceive and process construction drawings, construction documents and shop drawingsCompile monthly payment quantitiesOrganize traffic control for large jobsAssist withchange of works and change proposal processMonitor job costs and approve invoicesOrder materials and daily schedulesObtain permits and monitor complianceOrder and process underground utility locatesEligible to participate on the Joint Health and Safety CommitteeCommunicate with clients and manage subsWORKING CONDITIONSFast-paced work environment, typically on large, complex projectsWorking on project construction site(s) or in an office setting, usually a site trailerLong working hours, with local travel between work sitesMay require working nights and / or weekends, depending on contract schedule requirementsWill be required to work under pressure with tight deadlinesExposure to construction site work environment in all seasons and weather conditionsMust have the physical ability to use stairs, ladders and walk over rough terrainEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEUniversity degree in Civil Engineering, college diploma in Civil Engineering (CET or related field), or an additional 3 years of industry experienceMinimum of 3 years of industry experienceExcellent communication, organizational skills are mandatoryP6 scheduling software experience is an assetStrong knowledge and understanding of construction health and safety requirementsExcellent computer skillsBasic accounting principles knowledge is considered an assetProficient and professional in oral and written communicationSound judgement, reliable and organizedValid full G class driver’s license is requiredWilling to work in a team environment utilizing effective interpersonal skills with various levels within the organization and external stakeholders.TOMLINSON OFFERSCompetitive wagesBonus programsEmployer paid health and dental benefitsExtensive training programs and tuition reimbursementRetirement benefits programFamily-oriented team environmentEmployee discounts and other rewards programs #J-18808-Ljbffr
