This role offers the opportunity to shape safety practices across diverse engineering projects, collaborate with passionate professionals, and make a meaningful impact on the well‑being of our employees and communities. The HSE Advisor plays a critical role in supporting and managing health and safety across the organization. As a strategic member of the team, the HSE Advisor provides guidance to managers and employees, enabling informed decisions that ensure safe practices in engineering projects. This position will be based at one of our Southern Ontario offices – Guelph or Kitchener – and will involve collaboration across multiple locations to strengthen our safety culture and compliance standards. Develop and deliver internal HSE training (e.g., Water Safety, Supervisor Training, Emergency Response). Collaborate with Talent & Culture Team to evaluate and curate external HSE training providers. Contribute to the development of training needs assessments and competency matrices. Assist managers in identifying task‑specific training for site work. Track and analyze safety performance metrics and trends to inform continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) from a recognized institution. 3 to 5 years as an HSE practitioner in construction, mining, infrastructure or any other relevant sectors. Willingness and ability to travel within Southern Ontario to support CIMA+ offices and project sites. Excellent verbal and writing communication skill to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Additional Information We recognize the richness and diversity of each individual’s experience.
