Join to apply for the 2500002174 - Radiology Technologist role at Lakeridge Health2 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the 2500002174 - Radiology Technologist role at Lakeridge HealthGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.OPSEUJob Title: Radiology TechnologistStatus: Temporary Full TimeDepartment: General X-Ray/CTProgram: Diagnostic Imaging Services8 Hour Shifts, days/evenings/nights/weekends Schedule (Subject to Change)Location: Lakeridge Health Oshawa & BowmanvilleWage Schedule: $36.840 - $50.240 per hourPosting Reference: 2500002174Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe Technologist is responsible for producing radiographs and computed tomography images with accountability to storing images and recording them as required to complete examinations requested by medical staff in accordance with the procedures set out in appropriate manuals; assisting the Radiologist in the performance of their procedures and ensures patient comfort and safety; maintaining technical competence as required under the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) guidelines and the requirements of the C.A.M.R.T. and/or O.A.M.R.S.; rotation into other radiographic modalities; participation in student/technologist training and completion of other related duties as required.QualificationsSuccessful completion of a recognized Medical Radiation Sciences program;Must have CMRITO license;Demonstrated knowledge of all radiographic, fluoroscopic examinations, computed tomography techniques, pathology and record keeping required to operate in the Diagnostic Imaging Department;Proven ability to use varied X-Ray, CT, Fluoroscopy and ancillary equipment to provide high quality diagnostic images for the Radiologist;Proven effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills;Proven ability to assess requests and prioritize them to ensure excellent and prompt patient care;Proven ability to adapt standard work procedures to emergency situations;Must be able to work all shifts on short notice, take stand-by call and be on site within 30 minutes;CAMRT membership, preferred;Must have satisfactory performance record;Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy;Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-services in this area;EXPERIENCED AND NEWLY GRADUATED MEDICAL RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGISTS APPLY NOW Do you have more than two years MRT experience in a Diagnostic Imaging Department? Newly hired Medical Radiology Technologists to Lakeridge with experience within DI may be eligible for a $10,000 incentive for Permanent Full-Time positions or $5,000 incentive for Permanent Part-Time positions. Are you a newly graudated Medical Radiology Technologist? Newly hired Medical Radiology Technologists to Lakeridge with less than 2 years experience within DI may be eligible for a $5,000 incentive for Permanent Full-Time positions or $2,500 incentive for Permanent Part-Time positions.
