Job Summary Participate in preliminary and critical system design reviews. Prepare or contribute to program software and electronic hardware certification plans. Evaluate supplier's software and electronic (FPGA, ASIC, PLD) designs. Conduct technical and. Perform safety of flight reviews. Contribute to the evolution of EEDA best practices. Qualifications University engineering degree in Avionics, Electronics, Software, or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years of technical engineering experience, including at least 5 years in aeronautics. Minimum of 5 years of experience in airborne software and electronic hardware. Working knowledge of airborne software and electronic hardware guidance and means of compliance, including ARP-4754A/B, RTCA DO-178B, DO-178C and supplements, DO-248B/C, DO-254, DO-297 (IMA), DO-326A/DO-356A/DO-355 (Cuber security), DO-330, DO-200A, FAA AC 20-115D, AC 20-152A, Order 8110.49A, and 8110.105A. Functional knowledge of English is required; functional knowledge of French is desirable but not required at hiring. Multiple programming languages (C, C++, Ada95, Assembly, Python, etc.) and multiple hardware description languages. Development and testing experience (FPGA, ASIC, or PLD). Knowledge of requirements capture environments (DOORS, JAMA, etc.). Understanding of embedded computer architectures, operating systems, and real‑time executives. Eligible for a P. Eng. or equivalent. Ambitious, results‑driven, able to work autonomously with little supervision. Organized, detail‑oriented, a team player, self‑motivated, customer‑focused, able to work under pressure. Proactive, adaptable, flexible, innovative with a strong sense of accountability and integrity. Experience with airworthiness authorities or their authorized engineers is an asset.
