Interdisciplinary Research Chair in Mental Health of Children & Young People Faculty of Health Sciences and Community Services (Temporary position for 2 years with the possibility of renewal) Reporting to the Interdisciplinary Research Chair in Mental Health of Children & Young People, the clinician‑scientist will support the implementation of evidence‑informed tools and practices related to measurement‑based care (MBC) across the Integrated Youth Services – New Brunswick (IYS‑NB) network. The role will partner closely with the Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick to ensure that MBC practices are effectively integrated, accessible and responsive to the needs of youth, families and communities across the province. As part of a larger pan‑Canadian movement to transform mental health services for children and youth aged 12 to 25 and their families, the clinician‑scientist will collaborate and lead an innovation‑specific capacity‑building initiative within the IYS‑NB learning health system. The research team includes community experts, researchers, clinical/administrative staff and students at the undergraduate and graduate level. What you’ll do Responsibilities Provide leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of MBC practices across IYS‑NB sites. Collaborate with research coordinators and staff at IYS sites to embed MBC into clinical practice. Act as a key liaison between local teams, the research team and the provincial team. Guide implementation strategies that are contextually responsive, inclusive of diverse perspectives and co‑created with community partners. Capacity Building & Support Work with youth, family members and Indigenous partners to ensure that MBC resources are accessible, inclusive and culturally responsive. Facilitate the co‑design and delivery of tailored MBC training tools, technical assistance and quality improvement strategies to IYS sites. Coach and consult with clinical staff in the implementation of MBC practices, including technical assistance for clinicians to ensure effective data entry and MBC use. Knowledge Translation & Data Integration Support the development of knowledge translation products such as practice guides, workshops and clinical implementation manuals related to MBC. Contribute to data governance and knowledge mobilization processes in collaboration with the provincial network and the research team. Collaborate with the research team to develop user‑friendly resources grounded in scientific knowledge and research findings. Youth and Community Engagement Collaborate with youth, family advisory committees and Indigenous partners. Support youth in the co‑creation of knowledge translation materials related to MBC. Ensure that the implementation of MBC in clinical practice reflects the voices and needs of youth and families. What you’ll need Qualifications Requirements: Master’s or Doctoral degree in psychology, social work or a related clinical field. Current member or eligible for membership with a recognized professional association. Minimum 3 years of clinical experience working with youth and families, preferably in a community‑based or integrated service setting. Demonstrated experience in implementing MBC or related evidence‑based practices in clinical contexts. Experience with training, coaching and supporting multidisciplinary teams. Deep understanding of implementation science and capacity‑building. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate research into practice. Bilingualism (French/English) and experience working with Indigenous communities are strong assets.
