Provide comprehensive primary care at Ottawa Newcomer Health Centre, using culturally responsive practice within a permanent 0.3 FTE interdisciplinary setting.
Somerset West Community Health Centre seeks a Family Physician for rostered primary care services. You will assess, diagnose, treat, refer, and counsel patients across the lifespan. The work supports newcomers, refugees, and people facing barriers to care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care across the patient lifespan
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Order investigations and develop evidence-informed care plans
- Prescribe medications and initiate specialist or community referrals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers and community partners
Requirements:
- Medical degree from a recognized university
- Ontario family physician licence in good standing
- Certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada
- Valid OHIP billing number and current CMPA coverage
- Current CPR or BLS certification and English fluency
