Overview Senior Quality Assurance Specialist (Permanent) Location: Ottawa, ON Expected Salary: $67,021 to $83,776 To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package. Quality Governance & Assurance is a role discipline which focuses on ensuring that Babcock requirements are reflected in operational frameworks, policies, processes and plans, and that these meet all customer and stakeholder requirements. In This Role You Will Assist in the maintenance and deployment of the Babcock Business Management System. Undertake Quality Assurance support activities for the delivery of all sectors of the business, including both customers and suppliers. Review documentation through job records inspection, analysis, and audit processes to ensure full compliance with Babcock Canada’s Quality Assurance requirements. Support the development and release of new processes, procedures and forms in support of the Babcock Canada Business Management System. Maintain and update QA department documents and actively participate in updating/revision processes. Perform internal and external audits as required and audit external vendors. Produce Non-Compliance Reports. Support the transition and standardization of processes. Perform data mining and development of various business dashboards. Other duties as required. The ideal candidate brings A bachelor’s in science degree with emphasis on business management Experience in administration of business applications Minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality Management System and experience with ISO 9001, 45501, 14001, AS9100 within various business type sectors such as Marine, Aviation or Land Qualification and experience as an internal systems auditor Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI and Power Automate Detail-oriented, strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem resolution skills Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to produce quality results in a timely manner Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance Babcock is committed to promoting a workforce without boundaries.
