Our Technology Consulting Group is looking for motivated and capable applicants to expand our team. We are seeking Information and Communications Technology design professionals with experience in structured cabling, network infrastructure, and experience in either Security or AV system design. Applicants should have a working knowledge of design documents in Revit and AutoCAD, site visit processes, and effective client communication by phone, email and in person. The day-to-day work involves applying technical skills to create high quality deliverables and collaborating with a diverse team.Our office offers opportunities to work with a variety of project types, from upgrading clinics to large campus environments for major technology clients. Apply todayYour OpportunityHybrid work schedule with flexible hours depending on deliverables and project requirements.Your Key ResponsibilitiesDesign structured cabling systems for buildings, campuses, and tenant spaces, producing drawings and specifications with cover sheets, floor plans, riser diagrams, part plans, and details.Update specifications to match client needs or standards.Ensure designs meet local, provincial, and federal code requirements.Collaborate and coordinate with Project Managers and other design team members.Identify design problems, propose solutions, and communicate unresolved items for review.Communicate with manufacturers and contractors to address challenges and develop practical solutions.Provide contract documents that meet required codes and quality assurance standards.Subject all deliverables to QA/QC review and be open to constructive feedback.Attend site visits and client meetings as needed.Expand skills through cross-training in related disciplines and training opportunities.Participate in meetings, initiatives, and projects that support business goals.Your Capabilities and CredentialsStrong working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software; specifically AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.Relevant design experience across diverse project types and sizes including high-rise office, high-rise residential, hospitality, health care, civic, educational, data centers, and outside plant infrastructure.Familiarity with Network, Wireless, Access Control, and Audiovisual Design requirements.Ability to prepare detailed design drawings with supervision and integrate design elements across disciplines to deliver coordinated designs.Basic knowledge of applicable codes and standards including ANSI/TIA and BICSI best practices.Professionalism and effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present accurate reports and recommendations and clarify expectations with team members and clients.Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in a related field (engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.) and 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination.RCDD or preparation for the RCDD license is a plus.Primary Location: Canada | NS | DartmouthOrganization: BC-1334 Buildings-CA Atlantic CanadaEmployee Status: RegularTravel: NoSchedule: Full timeJob Posting: 17/06/2025 05:06:57Req ID: REQ250001WF #J-18808-Ljbffr
