This posting may be used to fill multiple vacancies.DescriptionAs an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP), you will assess emergency scenes and patients and may transport ill or injured patients between emergency scenes and facilities. You will operate ambulances or other transportation modes, administer medications, use advanced life support (ALS) airway adjuncts and electrical therapy, and may lead the ALS crew in delivering clinical care during transport or at scenes. You will assist with ensuring ambulances or other EMS vehicles are properly stocked and equipped. The working environment is demanding and includes exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, moving traffic, and industrial or agricultural equipment. Travel in all weather and to remote locations is required, with exposure to hazardous and graphic scenes and bodily fluids. The role is physically demanding, including frequent lifting and carrying up to 105 lbs, kneeling, bending, twisting, and side-carrying up to 20 lbs per hand.
