(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.This is an exciting opportunity for a (0.7 wte) Consultant Clinical / Neuropsychologist to be part of a highly specialist Regional (including nationally funded services) Neuropsychology Service providing care for patients requiring neurology, neurosurgery and neurorehabilitation services.The Consultant Clinical / Neuropsychologist will hold a leadership role in the development and delivery of the Psychology Major Trauma Service for the West of Scotland providing highly specialised psychology service provision across the whole trauma pathway taking account of regional, national and professional drivers.Based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital the post holder will hold a leadership role in supervision, education and governance for the wider psychology team and across professional boundaries.The psychologist will be part of the wider regional neuropsychology service who provide acute and rehabilitation to patients with neurological disorders in NHS GGC and Regional services including; Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neurorehabilitation, National Spinal Injuries and Westmarc.The Neuropsychology service has close links with University of Glasgow and are active participants in providing Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Specialist placements and contribute to the wider Regional Neuroscience audit, research, teaching and training programme.Owning to the highly specialist nature of the role the post holder must have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and be registered with the HCPC. Advanced knowledge of neuropsychological assessment tools and their interpretation would be essential. Post Doctorate Qualification in neuropsychology would be an advantage.Experience of service development and implementation will be essential.
