Benefits Salary: $45.41 per hour Sign‑on bonus: $5,000 Stable hours for financial stability Tool allowance: $1,250 Boot allowance: $400 Uniforms and PPE provided Extensive paid training opportunities Paid vacation, holidays, and personal days Comprehensive healthcare coverage: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, pension, and more Hours & Location Monday – Friday, every week Afternoon shift Repair/maintenance shop at Waterloo Hauling Site Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts. Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs). Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns. Conduct safety checks on vehicles; safety of employees and communities is priority. Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. Assist senior mechanics in project work. Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate/OSHA standards and perform all work accordingly. Requirements Licensed 310T Mechanic At least 2 years of relevant work experience Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Over 18 years of age Legally eligible to work in Canada Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical. Desired Traits Team player who cares about everyone in the shop Enjoys working independently and as part of a team Likes variety – each day provides a new challenge Determined problem solver Physical Demands Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing. Exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, etc.; exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes. Work occurs in both garage/shop and outdoor conditions with inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
