The reliability of these systems is a major reason why our customers trust us to accept 10x more automation in their workflow. As a Backend Engineer, you’ll work side by side with our CTO to bring scale to meta analysis of documents across our database; coordination of long-running, interdependent, and asynchronous workflows; and API availability and ease of use.In this role, you will:Lead the development of our backend that brings bleeding-edge LLM innovations to users with highly-available, reliable, and autonomous services.Work with the founding team to identify scalable solutions to performance improvements to our services.Own the reliability of and participate in the design of APIs and data models that power a sticky enterprise productPropose backend architecture patterns that helps us scale how quickly we can release high quality, and experimental features.Join a team of world-class engineers who will bring you thought partnership and as much growth as you want in your role.Monitor, evaluate, and improve the security of our entire infrastructure stack.Design your role to cover as much of the delivery of our backend services and asynchronous infrastructure depending on where your interest lies, as well as which responsibilities you want to own.You are:Passionate about what you do, not strictly the most experienced (at least intermediate).Self-guided in your exploration (with side projects you can brag about).A team player (your efforts are greater as part of something bigger).Eager to learn and grow (you’re committed to 10x’ing your skills).Looking for a team that gives you more than your typical job (we empower each other).StackPython/FastAPI/arqPostgresLLMs (off the shelf and fine-tuned)React/TypescriptThis role is exclusively based in our downtown Montreal office.
