Nurse Practitioner at Terra Nova Medical Clinics Locations: Surrey, Langley, New Westminster, Richmond, Ladner, British Columbia, Canada Employment Details Employment type: Full-time Seniority level: Entry level Job function: Health Care Provider Industry: Hospitals and Health Care Work setting: Hybrid (in-person and remote) Shift options: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend Hours: 1,680 hours per year Work term: Permanent Work language: English Relocation: Willing to relocate for this position Required education: Master’s degree Experience: Experience an asset Licensure: Nurse Practitioner licensure in the province/territory of work Responsibilities Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team Coordinate patient care Evaluate patient care and progress Interpret medical test results Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' condition Order medical diagnostic or clinical tests Plan patient care Provide end-of-life counselling and bereavement support to patients and their families Care for, assess and monitor the health of newborns and refer infants to appropriate medical services as required Provide advice and guidance regarding care for newborns and young infants Provide primary, full‑course care to women and their babies during pregnancy, labour, birth and the post‑natal period including monitoring the health of mother and baby Advise patients on health care Examine patients and take their medical histories and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases Personal Qualities Accurate Dependable Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexible Initiative Interpersonal awareness Judgement Organized Reliable Team player Screening Questions Are you authorized to work in Canada?
