Key Responsibilities:
Customer and Vendor Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to support business objectives.
Present solutions for arising problems and maintain a positive, customer-focused approach.
Identify opportunities to increase market share and support sales growth.
Understand customer requirements and expectations, recommending relevant products.
Ensure prompt responses to inquiries about materials and sales functions.
Procurement:
Generate RFQs for various products and maintain vendor relationships.
Utilize a pricing justification tool to calculate profit margins.
Record and track all vendor pricing, maintain detailed records of RFQ projects.
Purchasing:
Evaluate quotes based on price, availability, and service.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to expedite goods when necessary.
Monitor supplier performance, costs, and initiate cost-saving initiatives.
Familiarity with 3rd party processors, international vs. domestic products, and participation in relevant meetings and training.
Inventory Management:
Coordinate with the sales team and yards for timely and accurate product releases.
Maintain and track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure inventory accuracy.
Enter yard tallies within the company database and resolve any clerical errors.
Manage and resolve issues related to inventory assets.
Stay knowledgeable about current including product usage, and application.
Oversee pipe movements, purchases, and assemblies.
Record new products and create entries within the company database under relevant categories.
Inventory Reconciliation and Reporting:
Conduct routine audits for inventory reconciliation.
Generate various reports used for Inventory management, and Asset reconciliations.
Gather yard inventory records to reconcile with the company inventory levels.
Education/Experience:
Any combination of requirements, which provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities, will be considered:
Completion of Secondary Education with additional post-secondary training or education strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are highly valued.
Experience in customer service, sales, operations support, or purchasing is advantageous.
Proficiency in using computers and software applications, particularly Excel.
Competence in using computers and software applications and experience with DEAR Inventory Management and XERO Accounting are considered assets.
Willingness to be on call and travel, including occasional overnight stays.
Valid Driver’s license.
