The role of the Senior Treasury Manager at Toronto Hydro Corporation involves overseeing cash management, financial debt agreement analysis and reporting, insurance and risk program coverage, bank services and hedging; as well as supporting the Treasurer in the negotiation of the company financing structure.
Key responsibilities include leading cash modeling, strategies, and forecasting while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders such as banks, insurance carriers and brokers and providing mentorship and development to junior staff. The incumbent is also responsible for supporting day-to-day operations treasury functions including financial risk management, investor relations, business development and insurance. Additionally, they act as a subject matter expert for debt and financial risk management, market rates, bonds, and cost of borrowing making recommendations to support operational financing decisions and business development opportunities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement short-term treasury strategies and plans including cash forecasting quantitative models (daily, weekly, monthly and annual).
- Collaborate with Finance departments to lead financial budgeting for treasury purposes.
