Psychiatrist - Neuropsychiatric

We are seeking a full-time Neuropsychiatrist or General Psychiatrist with relevant training and experience to join the multidisciplinary team and oversee the 12-bed Neuropsychiatry Unit at Hillside Centre. The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: Provide comprehensive neuropsychiatric assessments for adults with significant complexity Lead the multidisciplinary team (nurses, SW, OT, PT, Psychology, Neuropsychology) and participate in treatment planning conferences. Participate in BC Neuropsychiatry rounds, held virtually, on a weekly basis Act as a resource for referring psychiatrists/teams and support the transfer of care to partners on discharge Synthesize and apply a customized biopsychosocial framework, and translate into care recommendations and plans Advocate for patients supporting re‑integration to their home communities Participate in general psychiatry call at RIH Additional Opportunities Option to provide outpatient care through the community-based Acquired Brain Injury Program Opportunities for medical leadership positions Engagement in research and quality improvement projects Teaching opportunities for UBC medical students, FP residents, and psychiatry residents Opportunities for CME activities with colleagues at Royal Inland Hospital and access to funding for projects through the Royal Inland and Hillside Physician Association (RIHPA) Dedicated office space at Hillside Centre and opportunity to work with 3 other psychiatrists. #J-18808-Ljbffr
