Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer – Data with experience in testing data-driven systems, ETL pipelines, and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across multiple data sources and will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions. Key Responsibilities Validate data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data transformations across systems. Perform data quality checks including completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Design and execute test cases for data ingestion, processing, and reporting layers. Validate source-to-target mappings and reconciliation of data. Perform SQL-based testing to identify data mismatches and anomalies. Automate data validation tests using scripting tools where applicable. Conduct regression testing for data changes and pipeline enhancements. Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to resolve defects. Track and report defects with clear root cause analysis. Role Requirements And Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in data testing / data quality testing. Strong SQL skills (joins, subqueries, aggregations). Experience testing ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, DataStage, etc.) or cloud pipelines. Understanding of data warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, star/snowflake schema). Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL). Familiarity with big data platforms (Hive, Spark, Hadoop) is a plus. Knowledge of data validation, reconciliation, and data profiling techniques. Experience using defect tracking tools like JIRA. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
