Position Summary:

Canadian Parents for French (CPF) Alberta is seeking a dynamic and highly organizedBranch Outreach Coordinatorto support the delivery of programs, events, communications, and branch operations. Working closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, chapters, volunteers, and community partners, the successful candidate will play a key role in advancing CPF Alberta's mission and supporting French-second-language learning opportunities throughout the province.

Key Responsibilities:

Event and Program Coordination

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of special projects, events, and activities, including:
    • Annual General Meeting (AGM)
    • Parent engagement events
    • Family-focused events and activities
    • Student events and programs
    • Advocacy initiatives and events
  • Manage event registrations, participant communications, and payment processing.
  • Coordinate event logistics, vendor communications, and onsite support as required.

Membership and Chapter Support

  • Serve as a liaison between the Branch and local chapters.
  • Maintain and coordinate membership records and chapter communications.
  • Support chapter engagement initiatives and facilitate the distribution of information and resources.

Communications and Resource Management

  • Respond to general inquiries and correspondence, directing communications to appropriate staff members when required.
  • Coordinate the distribution and inventory of promotional materials, brochures, posters, and other CPF resources to chapters, schools, and community stakeholders.
  • Assist with outreach and promotional activities that support CPF Alberta's programs and objectives.

Reporting and Administration

  • Maintain branch statistics and assist with reporting requirements, including reports required by funding partners such as Canadian Heritage.
  • Coordinate regular staff meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, minute taking, and calendar management.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and Board committees as assigned.
  • Assist with the effective administration, operation, and maintenance of branch office functions.

Organizational Support and Representation

  • Prioritize tasks and projects to ensure alignment with the strategic direction established by the Board of Directors and Executive Director.
  • Represent CPF Alberta at CPF Network meetings, community events, and partner meetings as directed.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Fluency in bothEnglish and French, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Residence within the Greater Edmonton Area.
  • Eligibility to work legally in Canada.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's licence.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • Knowledge of Alberta's education system, including familiarity with French Immersion and Core French programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a hybrid or remote work environment.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in:

  • Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

  • CyberImpact
  • Online databases, registration systems, and digital collaboration tools

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel occasionally within Alberta and across Canada as required.
  • Availability to attend occasional evening and weekend meetings or events with advance notice.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including printers, scanners, shredders, laminators, and related eq
