Your Opportunity Our Water Team in Edmonton has an opportunity for an eight‑month co‑op term expected to commence in May 2026. Engage in a wide variety of work projects, offering the chance to expand your skills and experience across different industries and disciplines. These tasks include research for up‑to‑date techniques, calculations, field work, project coordination, reporting, and meeting attendance and recording. Key Responsibilities Provide general support to engineers and technologists within the Water group. Support the field construction and commissioning team on ongoing projects. This involves: Monitoring and reporting on current construction activities. Assisting the commissioning lead with startup and commissioning activities. On‑site document management including deficiency reviews, asset management, document review, and quality assurance. Using knowledge of the general concepts of relevant basic engineering elements. Generating preliminary calculations and reports. Reviewing drawings and completing audits on relevant project design elements. Performing due diligence and research on projects as required to provide the background information to start new projects. Performing other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Capabilities and Credentials Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to engage in creative and critical thought. Detail oriented team player and the ability to work independently. Education and Experience Currently enrolled in Chemical Engineering or equivalent post‑secondary program with availability for an 8‑month internship. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Pay Transparency In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
