Job Overview Reporting to the Senior Project Director, Infrastructure/Project Management/Construction, the Project Director will provide hands‑on project management leadership throughout all stages of select redevelopment projects at CAMH. The role involves managing stakeholder expectations, mitigating project risk, and ensuring value for money. It supports both the Forensics and Research projects within Phase 1D of the 27‑acre redevelopment plan. Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including construction partners and service providers. Lead the creation and approval of documentation for authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) such as the City of Toronto, Toronto Hydro, Enbridge, and other agencies. Review bidder submittals, perform quality control on change orders, and oversee the design and construction documents for their portfolio. Conduct site reviews, provide monthly project status updates, and administer contracts. Lead deficiency reviews, rectification processes, commissioning, ICT installation and testing, and claim management. Manage schedule, change management, hospital testing, and all interim/substantial/final completions including contract close‑out. Provide direct reports and oversight of individuals across projects, including those in contract administration and occupancy planning. Support governance recommendations and ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. 15+ years of experience in large‑scale ($50m+) construction, preferably P3 projects. Experience with a general contractor and knowledge of diverse contract management environments. Strong customer‑relationship, negotiation, teamwork, business acumen, leadership, and strategic thinking skills. Excellent written and oral communication, MS Office Suite proficiency, and the ability to work with diverse communities. Bilingualism (French/English) or another language considered an asset; healthcare experience preferred. Additional Information Location: Queen Street site, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
