You need (essential for the job) Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following EDUCATIONED1: Graduation with a master’s degree from a recognized post‑secondary institution with specialization in operational research, mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, data science, physical sciences, engineering, or some other specialty relevant to the position. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post‑secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. EXPERIENCEEX1: Experience in performing scientific research and analysis in operational research or related domains, such as mathematics, statistics, data science, physics, or engineering. EX2: Experience in gathering, analyzing and synthesizing information and data from a variety of sources. EX3: Experience in writing or publishing in peer‑reviewed scientific publications, dissertations, or analytical reports. A2: Ability to apply quantitative research methods, and associated analytical techniques, relevant to operational research or related domains, such as mathematics, statistics, data science, physics, or engineering. Experience in programming (e.g. Python, Matlab, C++, SQL) to support scientific research. Experience in applying machine learning. Experience in conducting scientific research or quantitative data analysis to support decision makers. Experience in communicating scientific concepts and findings to non‑scientists. Experience in conducting research to inform policy in a public service setting.
