DescriptionThe Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures. The MRT I also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.DetailsClassification: Medical Radiation Tech IUnion: COV HSAA PROF TECHUnit and Program: DIPrimary Location: Grey Nuns Community HospitalMulti-Site: Not ApplicableFTE: 0.50Posting End Date: 02-FEB-2026Temporary Employee Class: Temp P/T BenefitsDate Available: 12-FEB-2026Temporary End Date: 07-SEP-2026Length of Shift in weeks: 12Shifts per cycle: 30Days Off: As Per RotationMinimum Salary: $35.45Maximum Salary: $46.69Vehicle Requirement: Not ApplicableRequired QualificationsGraduate of a Radiological Technology program or recognized equivalent required.Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required.BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required.Additional Required QualificationsCurrent, demonstrated competency in all General radiographic exams.Demonstrated awareness and competency in adaptive radiographic techniques.Current, demonstrated competency in the scanning of basic CT exams.Must possess a high degree of confidentiality.Demonstrated ability to be able to work within existing, clearly defined policies and procedures.Proven ability to work under pressure within a team in emergency situations.Experienced and committed to providing high quality student teaching and preceptorship.Involved in x-ray emitting procedures requiring the donning of leaded apparel weighing up to 9.5kg for up to 7.75 hours while assisting within the perimeter of a radiation field.Preferred QualificationsTwo (2) years experience in a hospital setting preferred.experience with PEI. #J-18808-Ljbffr
