CMC is a major supplier to the aerospace and high-technology industries, airlines, military agencies and government customers worldwide.Why join our D-HUD (Digital Heads-Up Display) team?Engineering Director, (does not manage a team) + responsible for the organization, coordination, and control of all phases of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with applicable airworthiness standards such as DO-160 and DO-178C, for the development of certified aircraft systems involving both hardware and software.As a Project Engineer Your Key Responsibilities IncludePrepare Engineering Estimates and Engineering Development PlansExecute Engineering Development Plans while proactively identifying and mitigating risks impacting schedule, cost, or deliverablesLead engineering project teams to respect budget, schedule, and ensure quality deliveriesIdentify user stories and detailed tasks, assign priorities and tasks to project team members, and clearly communicate requirements and deadlinesWork with other departments such as Program Management, Airworthiness, Quality, and Manufacturing to drive projects forwardProduce and present status reports for management reviewTo Join Our Team, You MustKnowledge of DO-178C and DO-254 quality standardsExperience in avionics or military hardware and software developmentAvailability to travel to CMC Electronics US locations once a month initiallyTo Excel In This Role, You Must HaveHold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent;Possess at least 7 years’ experience as a hardware and/or software engineer in the avionics or military products environment;Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management, including technical risk oversight and managing teams of 10+ people, including remote teamsDemonstrated success in the execution and leadership of complex technical projects requiring cost and schedule performance management and risk managementDemonstrated understanding of requirements management for the development of hardware and/or software systemsWhat We OfferGroup insurance paid at 100% and pension plan with employer participationFinancial assistance program for studiesFree electrical terminalsOn-site cafeteria at low costClosed during the end-of-year holidaysInternational-calibre company on a human scaleCMC is committed to employment equity and to the equal access program.
