GeologicAI is a fast-growing technology company developing and deploying exciting new technologies for the energy and mining sectors. We build nifty geological robots that scan rocks, train AI to analyze the scan data, and make fancy software that makes all our results incredibly useful for finding and extracting natural resources. As a member of our field operations team, you will be operating our GeologicAI rock scanning robots helping our clients gain new geological insights into their resources. Working in our Calgary lab, you will be prepping core samples for scanning, running, and maintaining the equipment, and processing scan data in our custom software. You'll use your technical knowledge and common sense to make sure our clients get the best data possible and will interact with client geologists to help them get the most out of the amazing data you are generating.

You have geological knowledge, engineering experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to work in a remote field environment. You are a hard worker that can keep a smile on your face for your colleagues and clients over a long shift. You enjoy working with computers and have some Excel and database experience, or even some coding experience.

Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Considerable experience using various computer Windows software and hardware, including:
o efficient file navigation and understanding of file structure, keyboard shortcuts, remote desktop, Windows DOS commands, etc.
o Experience with multi-node processing, network storage, etc.
o Identify USB types, Ethernet/network switches, troubleshoot hardware connectivity.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools and basic mechanical knowledge.
• Introductory experience with any coding language is an asset, but not required.
• Experience with geology, particularly any experience on drilling exploration programs is an asset, but not required.
• Any familiarity with non-destructive testing, core scanning, or imaging devices such as Xray Fluorescence Spectroscopy, Hyperspectral Imaging, Magnetic Susceptibility is an asset.
• Experience in client-facing communication or customer service.
• English (Required)

Diploma or degree in Earth sciences, geology, computer science or engineering (Required)
