The HR MAI function acts as a catalyst for the human, cultural, technological and operational integration of acquired entities. It ensures consistency in HR practices, regulatory compliance and organizational resilience. The M&A HR Director leads a dedicated project team, working closely with business sectors, corporate functions (M&A, finance, legal, IT), and local HR teams in Canada and the United States.What you will accomplish with usAs Director of Mergers, Acquisitions, and Integrations, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are your main responsibilities:Strategic leadershipDefine and deploy the vision, objectives, and operating model of the HR M&A functionEnsure alignment with VPTC priorities and corporate directionsRepresent the HR function on FAI committees and with internal and external stakeholdersFAI Project ManagementSupervise HR due diligence activities (Canada and US)Oversee HR integration plans (compensation, HRIS, culture, communication)Oversee HR sales or divestiture projectsMaintain and improve M&A roadmaps, dashboards, and management toolsTeam managementSupervise a team of professionals including project managers, HR specialists, compensation specialists, and HRIS specialistsPromote talent development, matrix collaboration, and collective intelligenceEnsure consistency of deliverables, visibility on capacity mobilized, and prioritization of effortsContribution to HR transformationParticipate in strategic monitoring and the evolution of HR practicesCollaborate with departments across the VPTCContribute to the leadership team of the Vice Presidency, HR Programs, Systems, and Analytics, and to the alignment of cross-functional initiativesWhat could accelerate your success in this positionHas at least 10 years of experience in management or senior advisory roles in an ISP contextHas a bachelor's degree in human resources, administration, science, actuarial science, or operations managementIs recognized for their strategic leadership and ability to navigate complexityHas significant experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and project modeHas the ability to influence across departments and interact at the executive levelStands out for their ability to mobilize teams and deliver results in sensitive contextsDemonstrates a strong command of lean principles, organizational design, and change managementExperience leading transformations/reorganizations involving organizational design and support from all HR departmentsExperience in HR analytics, dashboards, and budget managementKnowledge of North American (Canada/US) HR environmentsIntermediate proficiency in French and advanced proficiency in English, as the person will be required to communicate, negotiate, influence, and share the vision with companies in Canada/US on a daily basis.Why you'll love working with usTo contribute to large-scale projects that shape the future of the companyTo grow within a learning, inclusive, and ambitious organizationTo be part of an HR function undergoing active transformation toward 2030To have a direct impact on the employee experience and collective performanceA work environment where learning and development merge with a collective quest for excellenceA healthy, safe, equitable, and inclusive environment where potential can be freely expressed and developed;We offer a competitive benefits package including flexible group insurance, competitive pension plan, stock purchase plan, vacation and wellness and personal development days, telemedicine, employee and family assistance program, ergonomic furniture program, performance bonuses, discounts on iA products, and moreiA Financial Group is committed to diversity and inclusion.
