Calgary Co-op is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist responsible for designing, developing and delivering organizational development programs. Responsibilities Design and implement people development programs and initiatives to support employee and leadership development, succession planning and talent management. Provide consultative and advisory support to the business in talent management programs. Conduct learning needs assessments, identify gaps and present recommendations. Create online courses, microlearning assets, workshops, presentations, reference guides and other learning materials. Facilitate meetings, deliver online and in person learning programs related to organizational needs. Research and apply a variety of learning technologies and methodologies to address development needs. Evaluate learning solutions, including in-house and third-party learning programs. Support the implementation of the training calendar including liaising with facilitators, managing training registrations, answering inquiries, logistics and planning. Minimum Qualifications Post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources, Education, or related field (diploma, certificate or degree) combined with 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources or learning and development. An equivalent combination of directly related post-secondary education and experience may be considered. Strong knowledge in the areas of adult learning and instructional design theory and application. Experience providing advisory service to the business in talent management and learning and development. Experience working with eLearning software and Learning Management Systems. Demonstrated experience developing in person and on-line learning programs. Working knowledge of Talent Management programs and Human Resources processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional consultation, presentation, and facilitation skills. Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Desirable Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education or related field. Post-secondary education in Adult Learning or Instructional Design. Experience developing eLearning courses using Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise) or comparable authoring tools, Camtasia, Vyond, Captivate, or graphic/video editing software. Human Resources or training experience in unionized environment. Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation.
