Director, Coordinated Access – Access CAMH CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) is seeking a senior leader to oversee coordinated access, clinical operations and system integration for mental health services in Toronto Region. Job Overview Reporting to the Senior VP Clinical Care, the Director will lead a multidisciplinary workforce, develop and execute strategic plans, manage financial resources, and collaborate with system partners to advance equitable, seamless care access. Responsibilities Provide leadership for Access CAMH, overseeing clinical operations, ensuring adherence to standards and implementing strategies to advance system integration. Align program development with CAMH Strategic Plan, provincial priorities and evidence‑based practices. Coordinate access across the Toronto Region and work with provincial health system partners. Lead, mentor and support mental health professionals, fostering a patient‑centered culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with the Professional Practice Office, Clinical Quality, Physician Leaders and other key leaders to enhance practice standards, quality of care, safety, risk management, program planning and service excellence. Build and maintain relationships with system partners, regulatory bodies, funding agencies, patient groups and community organizations. Manage financial resources from operational and strategic perspectives, using forecasting, costing models and budgetary tools. Support education and research initiatives by facilitating access to programs and teams for students and clinicians. Serve on the Clinical Leadership Team, chair forums and participate in committees related to corporate strategy and operations. Develop and implement policies and procedures, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and legal requirements, and drive quality improvement. Handle on‑call responsibilities and assist with crisis response within the organization. Provide strategic decision‑making, mentoring, and influence to achieve program and hospital objectives. Qualifications Master’s degree in Clinical, Healthcare, Social Services or a related discipline (required). Master’s degree in Nursing or a registered health profession preferred. Member in good standing with the applicable College (required). Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience in addictions, mental health and/or concurrent disorders treatment. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a progressive clinical managerial position. Proven leadership experience, ideally in a mental health facility or related healthcare organization. Demonstrated success in developing and leading clinical programs, managing staff and complex patient care. Strong leadership, communication and team‑building skills. In‑depth knowledge of clinical best practices, treatment modalities and evidence‑based approaches in mental health. Proficiency in regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and risk management. Exceptional decision‑making, strategic planning and financial management abilities. Knowledge of Canadian healthcare regulations, especially those relevant to mental health services. Familiarity with provincial healthcare legislation, guidelines and protocols. Commitment to CAMH’s vision, goals and mission.
