With an industry-leading pipeline of projects, strong financial positioning, and talented employees, we look forward to our bright future**Job Description:**The Exploration Summer Student’s main role will be assisting the day-to-today operations of Exploration Geologist(s) while adhering to all SSR Mining safety procedures and protocols.Tasks include: logging drill core, undertaking geological field mapping and associated sample collection (rocks, soils or tills), report writing (weekly, monthly, etc.), data organization and handling, participating in and planning safety activities/meetings, and assuming interim leadership roles inremote camps (drilling and field operations).This position has a 2 week-in, 2 week-out rotation and will be based out of either the Seabee camp or one of the Exploration temporary work camps (Amisk, Orchid or Mari Lake), this program runs May 2026 to September 2026. Potential to extend contract to end of year to assist with report writing.**The Day-to-Day:*** Perform duties in accordance with established health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures* Geological core logging with associated data entry, and management of drillhole databases in MX Deposit* Assisting in the management and logistics of operating a field camp, drill program, or field program* Traversing through a remote forest environment while undertaking geological mapping* Orienteering with GPS/compass to navigate traverse lines* Collecting and recording of high quality and detailed field data including rock fabric elements (foliation, lineation, folds) along with rock and soil samples for geochemical analysis* Data digitizing and interpretation utilizing ArcGIS Pro and tablet mapping* Interim supervision of remote camps* Willingness and disposition to live in a remote camp setting for extended periods* To be considered for the Fisher or Seabee projects, the candidate must be able to transport themselves to SSR Exploration’s fly-point: Saskatoon, SK. If the candidate is local to the Flin Flon and/or Creighton area, transportation to the Amisk, Orchid or Mari Lake projects will not require flights and transportation via light vehicle may be required of the candidate* Eligible to work in Canada* Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or current enrollment in a post-secondary geoscience program* Ability to handle the physical nature of field work (hiking long distances with a pack weighing up to 50lbs)* Ability to lift up to 60lbs and occasionally more with assistance of another employee* Must pass “Fit for Work” and drug/alcohol medical pre-screening* Possession of a full valid driver’s license, and Pleasure Craft Operators Card is* required* Competence in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)* Ability to pick up new skills and techniques quickly* Strong attention to fine detail* Efficient time-management skills and ability to be self-motivated and self managed* Ability to work well with other employees and in a team setting* Up to date First Aid training is required, and SSR may be able to provide in certain caseSSR Mining Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
