Base pay range $50.00/hr – $50.00/hr Products Revolutionizing Education TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures in a TikTok‑inspired learning format. TeachTales: Captivates students through personalized, enchanting storytelling that enhances understanding. TimeBack: Serves as a learning companion that connects with existing applications, actively guiding students. Athena: Employs AI‑created videos and assessments to produce quantifiable academic results. What You Will Be Doing Design and Deploy Full‑Stack Capabilities: Drive user stories from concept to delivery; refine requirements, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, validate comprehensively, and release to production. Identify and Resolve Bugs: Conduct root cause investigations, address underlying issues (not merely surface symptoms), and prevent regressions through intelligent testing strategies. Elevate Code Standards: Assess designs and pull requests to ensure clarity, simplicity, and accuracy, preventing technical debt at the source. What You Won’t Be Doing Craft pixel‑perfect interfaces or intricate backends without clear purpose. Execute specifications without comprehending the underlying challenge. Spending time in prolonged meetings about roadmaps and priorities or coordinating with stakeholders. Merely delivering features; you’ll own the responsibility of solving genuine problems. Lead Software Engineer Key Responsibilities Applying AI to create software that addresses authentic user needs, delivers quickly, and remains sustainable over time. Basic Requirements Minimum of 4 years of experience developing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework). Strong ownership: Proven track record owning entire modules, product capabilities, or teams, beyond isolated task contributions. Independent execution: Capacity to resolve blockers autonomously, establish your own rhythm, and navigate ambiguous scenarios. Experience incorporating generative A.I. into your daily development workflow. We are a remote‑first company that hires globally via Crossover. Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week) long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
