Position Overview The primary purpose of this In-Home (IH) position is to assess eligibility and provide social worker services to elderly and disabled adults at risk of adult care home placement. The goal is to enable individuals to live independently in the community. This role includes serving as an intake social worker on a rotating basis and performing additional duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited institution; OR Bachelor's degree in a human services field plus one year of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant experience; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. All staff must be available to staff emergency shelters during disasters and possess a valid driver’s license in North Carolina. Compensation The salary range is $43,178 - $54,669. Halifax County offers a comprehensive benefits package, including participation in the N.C. Local Government Employees’ Retirement System.
