The Role AMD is seeking an AI Enablement Engineer to help accelerate our internal adoption of AI tools and developer productivity systems. In this role, you will design and deliver full-stack solutions that empower AMD engineers to use cutting-edge AI technologies like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cline, and Codex. You will also play a key role in supporting and educating internal users, ensuring smooth integration, issue resolution, and ongoing optimization of AI-driven workflows. This is a hands‑on, highly visible position that bridges software engineering excellence with outstanding internal customer service. The Person You’re a versatile full‑stack developer who loves solving complex technical problems and helping others succeed. You take pride in building robust systems and in communicating clearly with non‑experts. You thrive in collaborative environments, respond quickly to issues, and have a natural curiosity for how AI can transform development workflows. Key Responsibilities Provide responsive and knowledgeable support to internal users—helping engineers learn, troubleshoot, and maximize value from AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cline, and Codex. Develop and maintain front‑end and back‑end systems that expand AMD’s internal use of AI tools and platforms. Manage and triage JIRA tickets in a timely manner, ensuring issues are well‑documented, tracked, and resolved. Partner with development teams to integrate AI‑assisted workflows into AMD’s software engineering processes. Enhance internal databases, automation systems, and AI infrastructure to improve efficiency and scalability. Communicate clearly across teams, translating technical details into actionable guidance for users and leadership. Preferred Experience Strong full‑stack development experience, including both front‑end (React, Angular, or similar) and back‑end (Python, Node.js, or C#). Experience supporting or training internal users in technical environments. Demonstrated ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex issues efficiently. Familiarity with AI developer tools, APIs, and workflow integrations. Proficiency in JIRA or similar project management systems, with a commitment to timely, clear communication. Solid grounding in object‑oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and multithreaded programming. Strong problem‑solving and collaboration skills, with a customer‑first mindset. Academic Credentials Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
