The role: The Technology Finance department provides cost-effective stewardship of the Bank's IT and financial resources used to support creation of shareholder value. Technology Finance has a dual reporting relationship to both Corporate Finance and Technology. The Business Line Support (BLS) team within the department is accountable for providing in-depth analysis of global technology spending to improve business and financial decision-making, collaborating with Technology and other partners to develop strategic analysis to improve customer and employee utilization of IT services. Reporting to Director, Global Tech Spend, the Manager is responsible for contributing to Technology Executive & Line Management decision-making by ensuring the preparation of comprehensive, insightful and timely analysis, reporting and presentation of global IT investment and resourcing, benchmarking and metrics. The Manager actively contributes to the facilitation, monitoring, and measuring of IT and Business Line financials, as well as developing and maintaining best practices and procedures for IT financial management globally. The Manager will regularly collaborate with teams within Technology Finance, as well as Business / Finance units across the Bank’s global footprint to achieve goals and deliverables under tight timelines. They actively participate in special projects and periodic ad-hoc analysis for management, as needed. The Manager is a proactive and hands-on strategic thinker who exemplifies integrity, respect and commitment to the team. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: Manage the development, maintenance, and governance of financial management and statutory reporting for Global IT, aligned with TBM best practices. Coordinate timely, accurate, and insightful analysis for global IT financials, including statutory reporting, forecasting, and budgeting cycles. Prepare and review standard and ad-hoc dashboards, reports, and visualizations (e.g., benchmarking, metrics, graphs, spreadsheets) using Apptio and other analytical tools. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, profitability, and growth through data-driven insights and continuous improvement. Conduct deep-dive financial analysis of IT spend across business lines, ensuring accuracy, reasonability, and identification of key cost drivers and variances. Analyze complex business scenarios, including change impacts and sensitivity trends, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership. 2/ Strategic Partnering & Client-Focused Support: Collaborate with Technology and Business Line stakeholders to deliver strategic analysis that improves global utilization of IT services. Develop and present detailed financial workbooks and materials for IT and Business Line workshops, enabling informed decision-making. Maintain active communication with IT and Finance partners to monitor spend, budget alignment, and cost driver evaluation, ensuring technology investments support business strategy. 3/ Systems, Controls & Process Optimization: Manage the redesign of financial workflows and allocation methodologies to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to automate data compilation and improve delivery of financial insights. Maintain expert-level knowledge of financial systems and tools, including Apptio, to ensure optimal data usage and reporting efficiency. Own and update documentation for allocation methodologies, ensuring transparency and consistency. 4/ Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Relationship Building: Facilitate cross-functional discussions and presentations with stakeholders across the organization. Identify and engage key participants for strategic financial and operational conversations. Deliver clear, concise, and professional communications tailored to IT, Finance, and Business audiences globally. Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have: CPA and/or MBA (or related Finance designation/certification) with minimum 5 years of related work experience. Intermediate level of understanding of finance and technology demonstrated through previous experience. Proficient knowledge and experience on financial and management reporting, cost allocation, business analytics and financial systems/models, and Apptio. Change agent with high energy and willing to work in a fast-paced environment and able to manage time and resources effectively to meet tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written), presentation and business writing skills, as well as strong training, coaching and facilitation skills. Intermediate analytical skills, problem solving skills and critical thinking ability to: Frame and structure complex issues in a way that makes it easy to understand. Make sound and efficient judgement and assumptions. See connections between pieces of data and analysis and develop insights and implications. Quickly understand processes and identify opportunities. Strong team player and skilled in developing harmonious relationships with team members, business partners and senior management. Advanced skills in MS Office. What’s in it for you?
