By joining Andritz Hydro Canada, you are contributing to the development of sustainable technology, a clean future, and the maintenance of a proud Canadian's expertise.From water to wire – Be part of the movement Summary of the role As a member of the ANDRITZ Hydro Mechanical Design Team Turbine, located in Pointe-Claire, the selected candidate will participate in the mechanical design of new & refurbish Francis, Kaplan and propeller turbine units. Prepares 3D models and 2D drawings from references, sketch or based on instructions from engineer or senior designer; Creates drawing associated material lists; Reviews drawings and material list to check for errors, that they compliant with customer specifications and internal design standards; Ensure that designs can be manufactured, are transportable and operational. As needed, propose design improvement to reduce cost and improve quality; Participate in continuous improvement activities; Data entry into the material resource planning system (SAP); Performs drawings revision; Responsible for the execution time of his own work. Participates in schedule updates; Responsible for the quality and precision of his work. Why do you fit the profile? College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience; Good knowledge of heavy mechanical equipment, welded structures, methods of manufacturing and machining as well as drafting rules and practices; Strong background in 3D design; Autonomous; Teamwork skills; Fluency in French and professional knowledge of English is an asset. Knowledge of Unigraphics NX8, Teamcenter and SAP an asset. Knowledge of hydro turbine (turbine and generator) an asset.
