We are looking for a Supervisor to join our Thin Film team. In this role, you will assist the Sr. Supervisor, Thin Film in the day‑to‑day activities of the department. The Supervisor will support Raytheon ELCAN CORE methodologies and operating systems (KPI’s); People, Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost. You will also have performance management and employee development responsibilities. Lead while focusing on core professional values of respect, trust and team collaboration. Support CORE methodologies and operating systems (People, Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost). Evaluate and identify ways to improve the organization (cost reductions, resource usage, policies, products). Report to Thin Film Department Senior Supervisor. Coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and create solutions to complex problems. Ensure the floor has adequate tools, machinery, product, chemicals, work instructions, etc. for smooth operation. Initiate quality investigation when appropriate. Ensure that standard operating procedures and processes are adhered to. Assist with maintaining a structured work environment that benefits both employees and customers. Ensure that the Occupational Health and Safety Act is followed by all team members. Apply the CORE continuous improvement process. Plan and coordinate resources and activities within the team and other departments as required. Performance management and employee development responsibilities. Lead and motivate a team of individuals. Coach and mentor Group Leads as needed. Coach the team to remain motivated even when faced with inevitable delays, setbacks and policy shifts. Provide feedback to Senior Supervisor regarding the performance of group members. Qualifications & Experience Completion of post‑secondary in STEM or 5‑10 years’ work experience equivalent in Thin Film. Previous supervisory or equivalent leadership experience is an asset. Prior responsibility for safety, quality, schedule and cost in an AS9100 factory environment. Strong leadership and motivational skills. Highly effective communication skills at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to solve technical problems and make sound decisions. Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge through study, instruction or experience. Intermediate knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in reading and interpreting company policies and procedures. Demonstrated self‑motivation and excellent work ethic. Strong ability to follow rules and regulations, including Environmental, Health & Safety and Raytheon ELCAN policies. Proven experience and knowledge of CORE principles, production systems and team member roles and responsibilities. Demonstrated core professional values of respect, trust and team collaboration. Practical application experience in CORE continuous improvement process. Strong understanding of supervisory responsibilities within the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
