QA Analyst

The QA Analyst will interact with developers, QA, management, support, and product management throughout the product definition and development phases to ensure delivery of software that adheres to requirements and high quality, aligned with accepted accounting principles.You may have developed accounting expertise through formal education, hands-on experience in accounting or finance, or by working with ERP or financial applications where you have a strong understanding of accounting workflows and transaction postings. Your ability to leverage this accounting knowledge with analytical and testing skills will be key to success in this role.ResponsibilitiesActively participate in scrum team project planning, design discussions, and agile meetingsContribute to solution development by understanding requirements, defining acceptance criteria, and establishing testing strategiesAct as an SME in Accounting within the development team, liaising with Product Management to clarify requirementsInfluence solution conception through problem analysis and active participation in design sessionsIdentify business flow variations, capturing these in written test cases as well as automated test scriptsPerform manual and automated functional, integration, and regression testsAid with issue investigation by replicating problems and identifying source conditionsDevelop, configure and maintain automated regression tests in a continuous integration settingProvide feedback to the development team on changes that could affect deadlines or related productsProvide feedback and recommendations to enhance team coherence, productivity, and efficiencyRequirementsAdvanced knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, and proceduresExpertise in testing financial applications to guarantee reliabilityAbility to define required postings for given supply chain transactionsPost-secondary education in accounting or a comparable university-level programStrong communication and collaboration skillsSolid foundation in software testing fundamentalsHighly motivated, creative, self-starter with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and a "can do" attitude; thrives in a fast-paced, multi-task environmentStrong proficiency in written and verbal English for effective communication with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond QuebecEdge in your applicationPost-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable university-level programExperience writing moderate to complex code/scripts to test systemsExperience executing automated tests within pipelinesExposure to RDBMS such as SQL, Oracle or Postgres; knowledge and experience with SQL queriesExperience in developing Integration TestsExperience with Postman or similar tools for REST API testingAt Tecsys, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered.
