Support patient-centered meal service at UHN Reactivation Care Centre using food preparation, tray assembly, and sanitation skills in temporary part-time work.
As a Food Services Associate in UHN Nutrition Services, you will prepare meals, assemble trays, and deliver food to patients. The position also includes warewashing, food cart distribution, sanitation, and documentation. You will follow standardized recipes, diet orders, infection prevention procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion menu items according to standardized recipes
- Assemble patient trays using diet orders and tray tickets
- Deliver meals while verifying patient identification
- Record temperatures and complete food safety documentation
- Clean stations, equipment, utensils, and work areas
Requirements:
- High school completion or recognized equivalent
- Food Handler Certificate within 60 days of hire
- Three to six months related practical experience
- Knowledge of therapeutic and texture modified diets
- Availability for rotating shifts and weekends
