Job Description Engineering Drafting Technologist - Amico Patient CareRichmond Hill, ON Job Summary Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data related to manufacturing of suction & oxygen therapy medical devices (flowmeters, suction regulators) and patient room furniture (overbed tables, mother baby equipment, casegoods, carts). Able to effectively manage priorities and meet established deadlines; results-focus Sound decision making and judgment capabilities Able to adapt to changes quickly in a fast-pace work environment Holds oneself accountable for project goals and deadlines Job Duties & Responsibilities The Engineering Drafting Technologist will work within a team of engineers and developers to perform one or more of the following: Be part of the Drawing Team working on support of current products and new product development initiatives Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets to support contracts and tender documents Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data Perform calculations and analysis under supervision Write technical reports Operate CAD and drafting workstations Participate in design reviews for new parts and products when required Assist in any other duties as required by the Drawing Team Leader and Engineering Manager Education & Experience Requirements College Diploma or Apprenticeship Certification in engineering design and drafting technology 2-3 years of proven relevant working experience in the area of engineering design and draft technology using SolidWorks (2024 or above) for 3D solid modelling and 2D drawing/detailing Working knowledge of drafting standards (e.g., ASME Y14.5) and GD&T Exposure to ISO quality systems (ISO 9001 or ISO 13485) and manufacturing environment an asset Working knowledge of furniture design an asset For more information, please visit us at www.amico.comSalary Range: $50,000 - $60,000*Salary will be determined based on candidate's experience, skills and qualifications.*Only selected candidates will be contacted.*This is a current, real vacancy that needs to be filled as soon as possible. #J-18808-Ljbffr
